Rookie Chas Gessner ’03 won a Super Bowl ring as a member of the New England Patriots practice squad. (He’s pictured below at Houston’s Reliant Stadium with ESPN’s Chris Berman ’77 and Jerry Green ’50, who in January covered his thirty-eighth consecutive Super Bowl for the Detroit News.) … Sean Morey ’99 was voted special teams MVP by his Philadelphia Eagles teammates and named to “Dr. Z’s All-Pro Team” in Sports Illustrated.… 2004 Olympic hopeful and Yngling racer Hannah Swett ’91 was named Yachtswoman of the Year by U.S. Sailing…. Pam Dreyer ’03, Kim Insalaco ’03, Kathleen Kauth ’01, and Katie King ’97 were named to the 2004 U.S. national women’s ice hockey team…. In mid-February, the men’s basketball team (6-2 Ivy, 10-11 overall) dominated Harvard and Dartmouth to hold onto second place in the Ivy League, while the women’s team (4-4, 11-10) lost to the Crimson, but defeated the Big Green…. Cory Gibbs ’02, of Major League Soccer’s Dallas Burn, was named to the U.S. National Team.… Deborah Mendel ’04 was named to the 2004 Canadian national soccer team.
