Karl Stein writes: “Life has been good to me. I am 94 years young, and this year I was the oldest sailor in the Mackinac Race, 333 miles from Chicago to Mackinac Island. My age generated a lot of attention and excitement, especially from the local TV stations. We missed third place in the race by twenty-eight seconds. Hyman L. Pollock writes: "I can't wait to join my classmates for our 70th reunion. I am now 92 years young. I still drive seventy-five miles to see my daughter, Nancy Pollock Stavis '56, and also seventy-five miles to Lexington, Mass., where my son, Samuel '54, '56 Sc.M. lives. I live in West Palm Beach, Fla., in the winter and in Fall River, Mass., in the summer. My granddaughter, Sara Stavis Altman '82, is also a Brown graduate, as was my late wife, Ida Cohen Pollock '31.
