|Reunion Report: 1992|
What a great weekend for the 528 classmates and guests who returned to celebrate our tenth reunion! The festivities began with Campus Dance, where our class tables were the place to be. We had perfect weather for Saturday's field day and several '92 offspring enjoyed the pony rides. Saturday night's class dinner featured a buffet at Josiah's. Credit was never like this! Later that night, we joined with the class of '97 to host a party at the athletic center. The dance floor was full all night.
Those who heard President Ruth Simmons speak on Sunday morning were impressed by her bold and exciting vision for Brown. Following the president's remarks was the all-class memorial service, where special tributes were offered to the six alumni victims and the many Brown families affected by September 11. A candle was lit in memory of our three classmates who were lost during the past five years - Justin Casserly, Oliver duPont, and Leila Pahlavi.
On Sunday afternoon incoming class officers were introduced at the class lunch. The officers who were present, Melissa Culross, Samantha Boulukos, and Trine Adler-Lustig, led a brainstorming session about class activities for the next five years. Professor Barrett Hazeltine led our class seminar. Also on Sunday, we enjoyed a Dave Binder concert, despite a slight drizzle, a pub get-together at Trinity Brewhouse, and WaterFire. We ended our terrific reunion weekend with the Commencement march on Monday.
Troy Centazzo and I, your class copresidents, would like to thank the reunion and class-gift committee for their efforts, especially Dolly Hernandez, Deb List, Aaron Marcus, and Ken Padilla. We also wish our incoming officers a great five years. Finally, a very special thank-you to all those who attended the reunion. And to those who couldn't be with us, we really missed you. On that note, make sure you save the date of May 25–≤28, 2007, for the fifteenth!
