Colorado Rapids center midfielder Jeff Larentowicz '05 was one of twenty-four players invited to the U.S. Men's National Camp in early January.... Jon Okafor '11 was selected in the third round of the Major League Soccer SuperDraft by Chivas USA.... The New England Patriots signed Buddy Farnham '10 to their practice squad on December 29; he was named a practice squad player of the week prior to the team's final regular season game against the Dolphins.... New York Giants linebacker and long snapper Zak DeOssie '07 was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in three years.... Jack Maclellan '12 has been named a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award.... Bob Gaudreau '66 was named one of ECAC Hockey's All-Time Top 50 players as part of the league's 50th anniversary celebration in January; New Jersey Devils goaltender Yann Danis '04 is also on the list.... The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) named Garrett Leffelman '11 to the Capital One Academic All-District men's basketball team.... Svetozar Stefanovic '13 has earned honorable mention as a 2010 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) All-American recognition.... Head field hockey coach Tara Harrington '94 announced her resignation in January to join the Roger Williams University advancement office.... Women's tennis standout Bianca Aboubakare '11 broke the career-singles and career-doubles win records; she had earlier broken the record for combined career victories at Brown.... Assistant women's soccer coach Denis Chartier died unexpectedly in February.... Although the men's swimming & diving team finished down in the standings, two school records were set at Harvard during the Ivy Championship: a 1:47.88 by Tommy Glenn '14 in the 200 butterfly and a 1:59.85 by Conor Carlucci '11 in the 200 breast stroke.
