Former U.S. Olympian and twelve-year national team member Jill Reeve has been named head field hockey coach....The 38th annual Brown Athletics Hall of Fame ceremony on April 2 inducted seven new members: Igor Boraska '95 (men's crew), Katherine Cowan '00 (women's swimming), John Dunham '64 (special), Brendan Finneran '97 (football), Trinity Gray '00 (men's track and field), Tara Mounsey '03 (women's ice hockey and field hockey), and Michael Traggio '95 (men's ice hockey).... Ten Bears were named Academic All-Ivy: Chelsey Binkley '11 (women's gymnastics), Krista Consiglio '11 (women's skiing), Natascha Mangan '11 (women's swimming and diving), Hannah Passafuime '12 (women's basketball), Brynn Smith '11 (women's track and field), Ryan Kikuchi '11 (men's swimming and diving), Adrian Leanza '11 (men's squash), Jack Maclellan '12 (men's hockey), Peter Sullivan '11 (men's basketball), and Harry Zolnierczyk '11 (men's hockey).... Point guard Sean McGonagill '14 was a unanimous selection as the men's basketball Ivy League Rookie of the Year.... The fencing team tied for thirteenth at the NCAA Championship.... At the Hoehn Cup National Championship, the men's squash team finished twelfth nationally, its best finish since 2006; the women finished ninth.... Men's ice hockey captain Harry Zolnierczyk '11 was named the 2011 Ivy League Player of the Year; he then signed with the Philadelphia Flyers and was assigned to the Adirondack Phantoms.... At the 2011 Ivy Championships, Briana Borgolini '14 set new school records in the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke; Kristin Jackson '13, Borgolini, Emma Lamothe '14, and Kristen Caldarella '12 set a new school record in the 200-yard medley relay.... The men's water polo team posted the highest cumulative team GPA in the country at 3.52.... The field hockey team was one of 63 Division I teams to achieve a minimum 3.0 team GPA during the fall semester.... Gymnast Chelsey Binkley '11 was named the ECAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
