Records Fall

December 22nd, 2014

Field hockey tricaptain Meghan O’Donnell ’15 ended her career as Brown’s all-time leader in both goals scored (thirty-seven) and points (ninety). A first-time All-Ivy and National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) second-team All-Region selection, she broke the all-time school goals record on October 22 when she scored the only goal in the Bears’ 1–0 win at Holy Cross. O’Donnell set the all-time points mark when she picked up an assist as part of a 3–1 loss against Saint Joseph’s on November 2.

Goalkeeper Shannon McSweeney ’15 earned a shutout to help her team win the NFHCA Senior Game, 3–0, in Maryland on November 22. McSweeney, a first team All-Ivy selection, finished her career as Brown’s all-time saves leader with 628.

O'Donnell and McSweeney were both First-Team All-Ivy selections.
