| Decision: Brown or Yale? |
My son is beginning his second year at Brown after spending the summer at home in New Haven. He loves Brown, but over the summer he began to wonder if he should be at Yale instead. Yale’s humongous endowment allows the school to offer lots of money to students for extracurriculars and travel, he reasoned, and the Yale name does confer prestige. Then the BAM arrived. By the time I’d gotten home from work, my son had read most of it. He handed the magazine to me and said, “I’m so glad I go to Brown.”
