Jordan Burke earns his second consecutive Ivy Player of the Year award. 
Earning Academic All-Ivy team honors this spring with GPAs of 3.0 or higher were Jordan Burke '09 (men's lacrosse), Christian Crynes '10 (men's rowing), Steve Daniels '09 (baseball), Duriel Hardy '10 (men's outdoor track & field), Chris Lee '09 (tennis), Christina Caligiuri '09 (women's rowing), Sara Mansur '09 (tennis), Michelle Moses '09 (softball), Lauren Presant '10 (women's water polo), and Kelly Robinson '10 (women's lacrosse).... Designated hitter Pete Greskoff '11 was named to the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association all-star team.... Led by Liz Giliberti '10, who finished second in the Cacchione Cup standings, the equestrian team finished tenth in the country at the IHSA Championships.... Men's rowing finished the IRA Regatta with the second varsity eight finishing second in the country and the freshman eight finishing third. The varsity eight was fourth overall, while the varsity four placed second in the petite final and ended up eighth overall.... Women's rowing finished fifth at the 2009 NCAA Championships, with each of its three boats finishing among the top ten nationally. The varsity four finished a close second in the petite final, putting them eighth overall. The second varsity eight was fourth behind Yale, Cal, and Stanford, while the varsity eight finished fifth behind Stanford, Virginia, Cal, and Yale. Hannah Malvin '10 and Jessica Stage '09 were named first team All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association. Coxswain Christina Caligiuri '10 was a first-team All-New England selection, while Hope Richardson '11 was a second-team All-New England pick....Men's ice hockey coach Roger Grillo resigned to become a regional manager for USA Hockey's American Development Model.... Jodi McKenna '98, head women's ice hockey coach at Wesleyan, will be an assistant coach for the 2010 U.S. Olympic women's hockey team.... Anna Willard '06 won the women's 800-meter race in 1:59.29 at the 2009 Reebok Grand Prix in New York City, defeating three-time Olympian Hazel Clark and 2008 Olympic finalist Kenia Sinclair of Jamaica.... Goalie Jordan Burke '09, attackman Thomas Muldoon '10, and defenseman Peter Fallon '11 earned U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association All-America honors. Burke also was honored with the USILA Ensign C. Markland Kelly Jr. Award as the National Division I Goalie of the Year.... Men's lacrosse coach Lars Tiffany '90 was named New England Coach of the Year for the second year in a row.... Jesse Nunn '09 (women's lacrosse) was named a second-team IWLCA Northeast All-Region selection.... Picked for the CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America District I At-Large teams were: Chris Lee '09 (tennis), Adam Pantel '10 (fencing), Dan Ricketts '09 (swimming), and Lauren Vitkus '09 (women's lacrosse). Picked for the national All-America team was pitcher Michelle Moses '09, who graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a 4.0 GPA. She was also selected as a candidate for the Lowe's Senior CLASS Award.... Brynn Smith '11 was named the women's athlete of the meet at the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships after winning both the shot put and the hammer throw.... Two men and one woman qualified for the NCAA track & field championships: Craig Kinsley '11 (javelin), Bryan Powlen '09 (discus), and Brynn Smith '11 (hammer throw).
