Literary Cocktails

September 7th, 2016

Last November, Lisa Amico Kristel ’83 began hosting a monthly reading series, #YeahYouWrite, at her New York City restaurant, Bo’s Kitchen and Bar Room. For each author, she helps create a signature cocktail: For The Danish Girl author David Ebershoff ’91, “The Lili” (akvavit, Earl Grey tea, lime, and prosecco); for Sara Lippmann ’97, “The Dirty Doll” after her short story collection, Doll Palace. And for Jacob M. Appel ’95, hot spiced apple cider with rum. Other featured authors have included Téa Obreht, Julia Glass, and those pictured: Matthew Thomas, Mark Wisniewski, Matt Sumell, Rick Reiken, and Julie Chibbaro. Michael Cunningham reads October 19.
