The Blame Game

January 8th, 2009

Barney Frank's comments have the aura of a visitor from another planet looking down at the destruction he caused on earth, and then blaming it on the pathetic earthlings who suffer the consequences ("Post-Partisan Depression," Elms, November/December).

Your description of him as "the embattled chairman of the House Financial Services Committee," brings a whole new definition to the word embattled. The old Katzenjammer Kids were always reprimanded with "they brought it on themselves." Frank, on the other hand, takes no responsibility whatsoever for his major role in bringing this mess upon us.
