On Saturday, September 25, Brown will install banks of temporary lights at Brown Stadium and play its first night football game, a Homecoming battle against Harvard.... ESPN's Chris Berman '77 got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame May 24.... USA Hockey named women's ice hockey head coach Digit Murphy the coach of the under-twenty-two Select Team and former Brown player and current Wesleyan head coach Jodi McKenna '98 the coach of the under-eighteen Select Team.... Danielle Grunloh '10 and Craig Kinsley '11 have been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I Northeast Region Field Athletes of the Year....Kara Kelly '10 was one of forty senior women's lacrosse players selected to compete in the 2010 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division I North-South Senior All-Star Game.... Attackman Thomas Muldoon '10, a Tewaaraton Award candidate for the nation's top player, was chosen as an honorable mention All-American; Muldoon, Reade Seligmann '10, and Jake Westermann '10 were named Scholar All-Americans.... Designated hitter Mike DiBiase '12 was named to the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All–New England Second Team; DiBiase joined other top players from around the region in the NEIBA All-Star Game at Fenway Park on Sunday, June 6.... First baseman Pete Greskoff '11 and softball pitcher Kristie Chin '11 earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA)/ESPN The Magazine second team Academic All-District honors.... Fencer Adam Pantel '10 and water polo standout Kent Holland '10 made the District I CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Acadec All-America At-Large first team.... Men's ice hockey forward Aaron Volpatti '10 earned a spot on the District I CoSIDA/ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America At-Large second team.... The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) named eleven women's rowers to its 2010 Scholar Athlete list, the most of any Division I school in the country; Brown had five rowers named to the CRCA All-Region Team.... The National Football Foundation (NFF) has named twelve players to the NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is made up of college football seniors who maintain a 3.2 GPA or better and are starters or significant reserves. Brown had more players recognized than any other Division I school.... Eight members of the men's and women's squash teams have been named to the 2010 College Squash Association Scholar-Athlete team... Equestrian squad members Liz Giliberti '10 placed ninth in the Cacchione Cup standings, and Rebecca McGoldrick '12 finished tenth in the Novice Flat at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association National Championship.... The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches announced that the men's water polo team ranks first overall in team cumulative grade point average with a 3.570, ahead of Harvard's 3.411.... After strong performances at the NCAA Championships East Preliminary Round in Greensboro, N.C., five members of the track & field team have advanced to the 2010 NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
