The men's soccer team, ranked twenty-second going into this year's NCAA tourney, defied expectations on November 21 by beating UConn, 7–6, to advance to the Sweet 16 for the first time in a decade. Ironically, it was the Huskies who defeated the Bears in the quarterfinals ten years ago. On November 28, though, the Bears' lost to California, 2–0, ending their postseason run. Brown was 12–4–4 on the season.
