Graduate School Ceremony

June 7th, 2011

As Matthew Rusteika ’11 AM sees it, learning is a lot like window washing. Rusteika, who delivered the Graduate School Ceremony’s student address, compared “every fact to a squirt of Windex, every line of reasoning to a struggle to polish your thought. And most importantly, as soon as you finish washing, you’ve got to wash again and keep washing forever to retain that clarity.” More than 630 degrees were awarded at the ceremony, which took place on Lincoln Field. Just under 400 students attended.
