Digging Out

The Blizzard of 1978 buried campus beneath more than two feet of snow and paralyzed southern New England. Rather than wait for help, students launched Operation Digout, clearing pathways and streets before plows could arrive. The flu swept through dorms, and classes were cancelled for nearly a week.
