Men’s crew captured second place at the IRA National Championships.… Women’s crew finished in third place at the NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Championships, taking second place in the varsity eight race.… Running back John Spooney ’14 was invited to the Baltimore Ravens rookie camp; the Tennesee Titans invited wide receiver Tellef Lundevall ’14 to its rookie camp.… The Atlanta Braves drafted infielder J.J. Franco ’14 in the 38th round of the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft.… Charles Enright ’08 and Mark Towill ’11 will sail around the world in the nine-month 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race, which begins in October in Spain…. After spending the last three seasons at UMass Lowell,  Sarah Behn was named women’s basketball head coach.… Danielle Mastro ’14 was the only Ivy League women’s lacrosse player selected for the 2014 North-South Senior All-Star Game.… Face-off specialist Tommy Capone ’14 and attackman Sam Hurster ’14 have been named to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association Academic All-Region Team.… Sarah Robson ’15 (women’s hockey) became the first woman to receive the Joe Tomasello Unsung Hero Award of the New England Hockey Writers Association.… Alison Mullin ’14 (women’s soccer) was named Brown’s Rhode Island Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (RIAIAW) Distinguished Student-Athlete of the Year.… Dayna Lord ’17 was both the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Northeast Rookie of the Year and the Ivy League Rookie of the Year.… Eleven members of the class of 2014 were named to the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society for maintaining a 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career: Daniel Austin, Matthew Billeci, John Bumpus, Jordan Evans, Cole Hooper, Tellef Lundevall, Alexander Norocea, Adewole Oyalowo, Alex Phelan, Donald Sproal, and Michael Yules.… Track & field and cross-country athletes Morayo Akande ’16, Holleigh Bergstrom ’14, Ajani Brown ’14, Heidi Caldwell ’14, Peter Rhodes ’15, and Henry Tufnell ’15 were named to the CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-District Team.
